Paris Hilton Responds to McCain's Political Ad, Runs for President

Have you heard? We have a candidate for President who's promoting change for the United States. No, not that Barack Obama guy. I'm talking Paris Hilton.

The hotel heiress evidently took umbrage with John McCain's footage of her in a recent ad, comparing Obama's "celebrity" to that of tabloid staples Britney Spears and Ms. Hilton. In retaliation, she released her own video, labeling McCain "the oldest celebrity in the world" and "that wrinkly white-haired guy". Sunning by a pool in what to her must be a very conservative swimsuit, she states that since she's been dragged into the advertisement, she can only assume she must be running for President. So she introduces her proposed energy policy--but only after finishing her article on the best place in the world to fly to get a tan. In the end, she lets both current Presidential candidates know that she's serious when she says, "I'll see you at the debates, b****es."

McCain obviously took a risk when he ran his version of the ad. After all, the Hiltons are major contributors to the Republican Party, and have donated to McCain's campaign. My guess is that Ms. Hilton has a sense of humor refined enough to realize the difference between a joke and an attack. (But don't do it again, John. The ink on that last check isn't quite dry.)

Of course the Hilton video is a spoof. But it's so flaming funny. And I don't know who wrote her "energy policy", but frankly it's the most common-sense idea we've never heard from either candidate. One has to wonder if either Obama or McCain will grab at it, making it theirs. (Nah, probably not. It's the most logical idea, and God knows we wouldn't want logic to overshadow the circus our electoral process has become.)

So breathe easier, America. I don't think we have to worry about the White House being painted pink after all.
