HDMX-GO Lets You Share Your Music with Portable Speakers For Your iPod/MP3 Player

For several years now the portable MP3 player has been the music lover's device of choice. Whether iPod, Zune, Zen, or No-Name, fans love the portability and storage space. The downside, of course, is that it's not easy to share your latest musical gems with your friends. After all, sharing headphones--and earwax--isn't exactly the most sanitary thing in the world to do. Fortunately, HDMX Audio has come up with a solution that sounds great, holds up well, and is amazingly affordable.

The HDMX-GO is a rigid case that is large enough to hold your favorite MP3 device in a mesh pouch. An adapter plugs into your device's headphone jack, which feeds the sound through two speakers mounted on the outside of the device. The speakers are powered by two AA batteries which reside in a compartment inside the case. Everything zips up snugly, protecting your player from bumps and bruises. An attached clip lets you hang the device from purse, belt, or anywhere else you'd like.

Amazingly, the sound quality the two small speakers produce is excellent. I've used this at home, in my car, and at work; I've been able to crank the volume on my MP3 player to maximum and the sound doesn't distort.

The device comes in six different colors and sells for the incredibly reasonable price of $9.99. At that price, I feel terrible mentioning that I'd like to see an external volume control on the device so I don't have to unzip the case and adjust the volume on my MP3 player.

Am I pleased with this device? Absolutely. In fact, my wife has listened to her MP3 player more since Christmas Day than she has in the entire time she's had it. I guess she's not a big fan of those earbuds that don't want to stay in her ears. Is it worth the price? Most definitely. I highly recommend the HDMX-GO to anyone who has a need to play their MP3 player for an audience larger than one.

hi danny,

thanks for the tip. i think.
it's kind of nice having silence while my kids listen to their "screaming" nonsense, i mean music. and i would imagne they would ban them from school and buses.

when they can be used, though, it sounds like an inventive idea.

thaks for sharing,

my best regards,

sue
